Target Student Group and Quiz Context
The target student group for this quiz would be an 8th grade US history class. Students should have a basic understanding of the causes and effects of the US Civil War. Students will have learned about the Supreme Court’s 1857 decision in the Dred Scott case, and the ratification of the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments.

Jacob…what Olivia said! I am about to start teaching Reconstruction in my Ethnic Studies class. I feel like this would be a great assessment to see where students are at midway through the unit. Really well done; I feel like you covered a lot of key information here.
Jacob – I agree with Olivia and Bruce. A thoughtful way to check for understanding. I like that the correct answers have some positive feedback that expands the learning and the incorrect answers offer some “reteaching.” A first-rate demo of G forms!
PS: Don’t forget that a wrong answer could also lead students to some “re-teaching” in the form of image or video. Could add another dimension to the assessment.
